Veteran Owned Company

Who We Are

Paragon Machining is a family-owned, precision machining company headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. Founded in 1999, we are a veteran-owned business that uses some of the industry’s most sophisticated CAD/CAM software to provide customers with a wide variety of machining, assembly, and fabrication services including CNC turning, CNC machining with complex contouring, CNC milling, manual machining, prototyping, hand finishing and more. We work with a wide range of materials, including but not limited to composites, wood, glass, foam, plastics, steel, stainless steel, castings, forgings, aluminum extrusions.

Our streamlined business model allows us to provide you with the same kind of high level of customer service, engineering support, and design for manufacturability expertise you would expect from some of the largest machining companies in the country…without the overhead. The result is better parts, more competitive pricing, and lower total delivered costs (TDC).

At Paragon Machining, we are laser-focused on quality and customer service. We continually invest in new metrology technology and employee training. We do everything in our power to ensure that a bad part never leaves our plant. We are an ISO-compliant company that is well down the road to becoming ISO certified.

What We Do

We make precision machined components, extrusions, and assemblies better, faster, and cheaper than most companies can make them themselves. It's what we do…and we’re really good at it. But being a great precision machining company takes a lot more than just being able to run and deliver parts. It requires a deep understanding that we in the machining industry have a higher mission to provide the precision machined components and sub-assemblies our customers need to design products that make a real difference in all our lives. Products that:

•    Make our cars and trucks start easier, run better, and stop quicker.
•    Wash, dry, and sew our clothes.
•    Heat and cool our homes.
•    Feed the world’s growing population.
•    Protecting our environment.
•    Producing and conserving energy.
•    And improve our quality of life…everyday

To fulfill this higher mission, Paragon Machining has invested heavily in state-of-the-art equipment and talented machinists to provide a wide range of in-house precision machining services including, turning, milling, assembly, prototyping, and more. In addition, tapping our network of certified suppliers, we can also provide you with one-stop shopping and single-source responsibility for projects that also require heat treating, anodizing, grinding, broaching, plating, engraving, and powder coating.

How We're Different

Any purchasing professional or quality engineer who’s been around the block a time or two will tell you…not all precision machining companies are created equal. We couldn’t agree more. At Paragon Machining we go that proverbial “extra mile” to meet our customers’ needs….everyday. Lots of shops like to talk about being a partner with their customers but we live it… every day. The acid test is what a supplier chooses to do when faced with a choice of doing what’s best for them or best for the customer. As a result, we are a strategic partner with our customers that:

•    Delivers a lot more than just produce parts
•    Will do whatever it takes to meet a customer’s needs
•    Will do just components or finished assemblies…depending on your needs
•    Provides innovative inventory options
•    Keeps you on the leading edge of technology
•    Can get you to market faster
•    Delivers near 100% on-time delivery of defect-free parts
•    Provides value engineering and DFM support
•    Is not afraid of tough parts others won't touch
•    Can help you rescue troubled projects
•    Provide fast quotes, one-stop shopping, single-source responsibility, and short lead times

The bottom line is we are different because we have invested in the people, processes, tools, and training it takes to respond quickly to changing customer needs and market conditions.

How We Add Value

Although we have a broad range of machining and assembly capabilities, Paragon’s sweet spot is serving as an extension of our customer’s manufacturing team for the precision machining of aluminum extrusions, hard-to-manufacture components, and specialty parts that most shops don’t want to touch. This is what we do…and we’re really good at it. We don’t try to be “all things to all people”.  So if we aren’t the right shop for one of your projects, we’ll be the first to tell you so.  But we also won’t leave you high and dry.  We’ll help you find the right supplier…because that’s what a partner does.

At Paragon Machining, we believe the thing that truly differentiates us from other machining companies is our absolute passion for delivering more than just parts. We add value to all of our
customers in a variety of ways including:

•    Providing one stop shopping & single source responsibility
•    Finding ways to provide common services in uncommon ways
•    Paying an unnatural attention to detail
•    Fast quotes
•    Shortened  lead times
•    Providing a turnkey solution to your service parts dilemma
•    Providing near 100% on-time delivery of zero defect products
•    Providing inventory management options to extend cash flow
•    And more…

Why Customers Choose Us

There are a lot of good machining companies out there. The really good ones all have good people, good equipment…and sometimes even the same equipment.  So how do you know which machining supplier would be the best fit for you?

We believe that answer lies not in what a machining company does, but in how they do it. Customers choose to work with us because we operate as a true partner and extension of their company’s manufacturing team. For customers with no internal machining capabilities, we can serve as their in-house machining and handle all their precision machining needs.  For customers who have an internal machine shop, we provide back up and support. We can help them deal with sudden and unexpected spikes in customer demand or we can take on specialty parts or difficult-to-manufacture components or sub-assemblies allowing your internal machining team to focus on more strategic projects.

Customers choose us because we deliver sophisticated, big company capabilities with the personalized service that only a small company can provide. For example, if you need a specialized service such as heat treating, anodizing, or plating, we’ll tap into our network of certified experts and provide single sour e responsibility and one-stop shopping for the entire project. We’re able to do this because we have an extensive network of relationships with machining industry specialists developed over the past 20 years of working together.  But because these resources are not in-house experts, we don’t have the overhead costs that it takes to have these services on-staff. That means more competitive pricing and lower total delivered costs.  You get better parts, better customer service, and better pricing…that’s why customers choose Paragon Machining.

What is CNC Machining?

CNC machining is a term that is commonly used in industrial and manufacturing applications, but what does the CNC stand for? The term CNC means 'computer numerical control.' The definition is that CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing process which uses machine tools and computerized controls in order to remove layers of of different materials from a stock product, also known as the blank, or work-peice. This process produces a custom-designed part. This type of process works well with a wide range of materials, including but not limited to composites, wood, glass, foam, plastics, and metals. CNC machining is often contrasted to processes such as 3D printing and liquid injection molding. The automated nature of the process creates high accuracy and high precision. It is very cost-effective.
